Can be used in the braking of all rotary motions operating on 220 volt,50 Hz OC electrical current, they are spring pressure elecro-magnetic brakes. The magnetic field is created by the coil which passes the current through during operation and the magnetic field created enables the release of the brake shoe from the spring pressure and the freedom of rotating motion. The magnetic field disappears with the cutting of the current over the coil. It enables the braking of the rotary motion with the compression of the shoe under the spring pressure.
